What are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root, topped with a custom crown that matches your natural teeth. Unlike bridges, implants don’t rely on adjacent teeth for support, keeping your surrounding teeth untouched.

Because the implant fuses with the jawbone over time (a process called osseointegration), it also helps preserve bone density that’s often lost after tooth loss — something no removable option can do.

Four Steps to a Permanent Solution

01

3D Imaging & Planning

CBCT scans map your jawbone precisely to plan the exact implant position.

02

Implant Placement

The titanium post is surgically placed under local anaesthesia in a comfortable procedure.

03

Healing & Integration

Over several weeks, the implant fuses securely with the surrounding jawbone.

04

Crown Placement

A custom, natural-looking crown is attached, completing your new tooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are dental implants painful?
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is generally comfortable. Mild soreness for a few days afterward is normal and manageable.
With good oral hygiene and regular checkups, implants can last 15–25 years or even a lifetime.
Most healthy adults with adequate jawbone density are candidates. We assess bone health via 3D imaging during your consultation.
Cost depends on the number of implants and any additional procedures needed, such as bone grafting. We provide a personalised quote after your consultation.
Bone grafting procedures can rebuild adequate bone density in many cases, making implants possible even after bone loss.
