THE MODERN CHOICE

What are Metal & Ceramic Braces?

Braces use fixed brackets bonded to each tooth, connected by an archwire that applies steady, controlled pressure to move teeth into alignment. Metal braces are the most durable and cost-effective option, while ceramic (tooth-coloured) braces offer the same strength with a far less noticeable appearance.

Because the brackets stay fixed throughout treatment, braces are especially effective for complex crowding, rotated teeth, and significant bite corrections that removable aligners can’t always manage.

Diagnostic Records

X-rays, photos, and impressions help Dr. Shraddha map out your exact treatment plan.

02

Bracket Placement

Brackets are bonded to each tooth and connected with a precisely shaped archwire.

Regular Adjustments

Every 4–6 weeks, wires are tightened or changed to keep teeth moving on schedule.

04

Debond & Retain

Once alignment is complete, braces are removed and a retainer preserves your new smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are ceramic braces as strong as metal braces?
Yes. Ceramic brackets are made from strong composite material and perform just as effectively as metal — the only real difference is appearance.
Most cases take 18 to 30 months, depending on the complexity of the crowding or bite issue being corrected.
You may feel mild soreness for 2–3 days after placement or an adjustment. This settles quickly and is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
Absolutely. Braces work at any age as long as the gums and bone supporting the teeth are healthy.
Hard, sticky, and chewy foods like caramel, hard candy, and ice can damage brackets. We’ll give you a full dietary guide at your appointment.
